Angolan Community of Ontario (ACO) Logo

Established to serve as the primary advocate and cultural heart for Angolans in the province, the Angolan Community of Ontario (ACO) is a dedicated non-profit organization with a rich history. While the organization was officially incorporated on July 20, 1990, its foundations were laid years earlier, holding its very first Annual General Meeting in May 1988. For over three decades, the ACO has been committed to supporting the integration of Angolan newcomers while fiercely preserving the unique cultural identity of the Angolan diaspora. As a community-driven organization, the ACO provides essential social services, networking opportunities, and cultural programming that celebrate Angola’s diverse heritage—from its vibrant music and dance to its rich linguistic traditions. By fostering a strong sense of unity and belonging, the ACO continues to empower its members and ensure that the spirit of Angola remains a thriving part of Ontario’s multicultural landscape.
