Established April 4, 1980
Founded by a passionate group of nine supporters, Sporting Clube Português de Toronto has proudly served as the official home for fans of Sporting CP in Ontario for more than four decades.
Recognized as Filial nº 138 of Sporting Clube de Portugal, our club stands as an official extension of the Sporting family abroad, proudly representing the green-and-white legacy in Canada.
What began as a small group united by their love for the club quickly grew into something much greater — a gathering place for the Luso-Canadian community and a home where the spirit of “Os Leões” (The Lions) continues to live on.
For many years, our club stood proudly on Dupont Street, where generations of supporters came together to celebrate victories, build friendships, and strengthen the connection between Toronto and the spirit of Sporting. Those walls witnessed decades of unforgettable moments and a community that grew stronger with every match watched and every gathering shared.
In recent years, we continued that tradition at our home on 331 Symington Avenue, ensuring that the passion, pride, and camaraderie that define our club remained alive and thriving.
Now, we look toward the future with excitement. Soon, we will begin a new chapter at our upcoming home at 1666 St. Clair Avenue West, where we will continue building on our legacy, welcoming new generations of supporters, and creating the memories that will define the next era of our club.
As a proud member of ACAPO, Sporting Clube Português de Toronto remains an active and meaningful part of Toronto’s Portuguese cultural landscape, proudly representing the values that define Sporting CP: effort, dedication, devotion, and glory.
More than a club, we are a community — united by heritage, passion, and the enduring spirit of Sporting.
Join us as we celebrate our history and look ahead to the future, where new memories will soon begin at our home on St. Clair Avenue West.
