The University of Toronto Portuguese Association (UTPA) is a student club that provides a place for both Portuguese and non-Portuguese students to come together and enjoy the university experience to its fullest, all while embracing the Portuguese culture. UTPA hosts a variety of events throughout the school year, such as Adopt-A-Student Day, Halloween Pub night, bake sales, and other events; however outreach remains the cornerstone of the association. Our club enjoys visiting various elementary schools and high schools to speak about the importance of pursuing a post-secondary education. In addition, the UTPA takes pride in handing out multiple, annual scholarships to university-bound Portuguese students. Overall, our club is dedicated to enhancing the future of the Portuguese community within the University of Toronto.
