7º Lusofonia Festival

May 29 - May 31
Lusofonia is all Portuguese speaking communities, including Portugal, Angola , Brazil, Macau and Mozambique among others offering a great cultural diversity while preserving their traditions within the Canadian lifestyle. Celebrating roots is one of the priorities of the Portuguese speaking communities. This Festival provides a venue to celebrate the Portuguese Heritage Day and cultural traditions of the Portuguese communities through live performances with various singers and bands from Portugal and Canada and folkloric groups.
Portuguese Gastronomy festival, information booths and merchandise vendors will be present showcasing the Portuguese communities in Brampton. The goal is to promote a cultural leisure option to attract tourists from other cities to Brampton.
